The Lion Hotel is a beautiful Grade I listed, 16th-century coaching inn located in the heart of the historic town of Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Each one of the 59 bedrooms has its own character boasting unique furnishings and original features. All bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom, LCD Freeview television and tea & coffee making facilities. Please be aware that there is no lift on site.

Superior Room
Our upgraded Superior Bedrooms all offer supremely comfortable beds, en suite bathrooms, LCD TVs with Freeview, bathroom amenities, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.

• Superior Double Room with 1 double bed. Sleeps 2.
• Superior Twin Room with 2 twin beds. Sleeps 2.
Executive Room
Our Spacious Executive include a flat-screen TV with Freeview, refurbished en-suite bathroom, bathroom amenities, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.

Junior Suites
Our Junior Suites are full of character. The spacious rooms boast supremely comfortable super king beds. The suite features an en-suite bathroom, bathroom amenities, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.

Dickens Suite
The best room in the hotel, the Dickens Suite is full of character and history, located in the original part of the hotel dating back to the 16th century. Featuring a beautifully ornate double bed, original beams, lounge area and en suite.

A dog-friendly hotel
The Lion Hotel Shrewsbury is a dog-friendly hotel. Dogs are welcome in all areas of the hotel excluding The Hayward Restaurant. A £15 per night charge will apply and guests are responsible for any damage caused. Call the hotel directly to advise that you will be bringing a pet.
